About this Fellowship
This program is crafted for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students aiming at a career in professional theater.
The goal of Arena Stage's fellowship program is to cultivate the next generation of BIPOC theater professionals by providing the highest standard of training through immersion in the art and business of producing theater. Successful candidates are highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts.
Seasonal fellowships are full time and require a dedication of 35-38 weeks.
Deadlines are typically in February, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.
Award Value
All fellows receive a weekly stipend of $600 in addition to mentorship from Arena Stage staff members, professional development workshops, and monthly meetings with directors, designers, and senior staff administrators.
