About this Fellowship
AIIS offers fellowships for scholars, professionals, and artists from all disciplines who wish to conduct research or carry out artistic projects in India.
Deadlines are typically in November, but be sure to check the competition website for the current cycle’s deadline.
This program has various fellowship opportunities. For example, Junior Research Fellowships are available to doctoral candidates at U.S. universities in all fields of study and Senior Research Fellowships are available to scholars with a PhD or its equivalent.
Please note: Current graduate students must also submit information to the Education Abroad Office at least 30 days prior to departure. See their website for more information.
Award Value
Awardees will receive a maintenance stipend per month as well as funds to help with monthly research and travel.
