About this Fellowship
Provides funding for nursing students in exchange for work in CSFs (Critical Shortage Facilities) after graduation.
The Nurse Corps SP is a competitive program administered by the Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) at HHS. HRSA improves the health of underserved and vulnerable populations by strengthening the health workforce and connecting skilled professionals to communities in need.
The Nurse Corps SP’s holistic approach to application review allows for the program to consider the student as a whole person and to select recipients who are likely to remain at their service sites even after their Nurse Corps SP commitment is fulfilled.
The Nurse Corps SP’s purpose is to provide scholarships to nursing students in exchange for a minimum two-year full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent), at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses.
Award Value
Full tuition, fees and educational costs, including monthly living stipend.
