About this Fellowship

Provides a variety of fellowships and scholarships for high potential students in concrete-related undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Fellows and scholars must be enrolled full-time at the time of application and for the entire award period. Graduate applicants must not have exceeded their second year of a master's program or fourth year of a PhD program.

The award is open to international students. Applicants must be endorsed by an ACI member - sign up for a free student membership to access the member directory.

Deadlines are typically in early November. Refer to the program website for details.

Award Value

Scholarships of $5,000 and fellowships of $10,000.

GEM National Consortium

Promotes the benefits of a master's degree within industry. GEM Fellows are provided engineering summer work experiences through an employer sponsor and a portable academic year fellowship of tuition, fees, and a stipend which may be used at any participating GEM Member University where the GEM Fellow is admitted. Tuition, fees, and $16,000 stipend for Full Fellows. Includes summer internship with industry sponsor. Application fees for member universities can be waived, and reimbursement for GRE test is possible.

SMART (Science, Math, and Research for Transformation) Scholarship

Provides an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM disciplines) to receive a full scholarship and increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at Department of Defense laboratories. Full tuition and education related fees, stipend of $25,000-38,000 depending on degree pursued, paid summer internships, health insurance and book allowance, mentoring, and employment placement with the DoD after graduation.
