College of Arts and Sciences Diversity Committee
As part of our commitment to diversity, the College of Arts and Sciences has convened a diversity committee consisting of students, faculty and staff from across the college.
The committee is focused on promoting diversity and inclusion through recruitment, retention, advancement, engagement and training. Four subcommittees are organized around the following areas of priority:
- Student Recruitment, Retention and Advancement
- Faculty Recruitment, Retention and Advancement
- Campus Climate, Inclusion and Engagement
- Staff Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement
Academic Diversity Officers
Each college has a diversity officer who develops and implements unit-level strategic plans focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion. Unit-level diversity officers work closely with the university's Office of Diversity and Inclusion and serve on the Council of Academic Diversity Officers, which supports and advances implementation of the university's Equity And Inclusion Plan.
The College of Arts and Sciences’ academic diversity officer is Mylene Culbreath, Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
