We are a team of listeners, healers, artists, researchers, teachers, theologians, & creatives who work together to offer encounters that transform our life together across human difference. Using spoken word poetry, transformative dialogue, workshops, and deep listening as tools, we are working with people, communities, organizations, & institutions to build an equitable world through healing & justice. Rather than our human differences of race, class, sexual orientation, gender, national identity, and religion act as sources of division, they can be the source of our collective strength.
Race to the Table SC seeks to peacefully dissolve the racial barriers in society and between individuals. In racially mixed small groups, the dialogue experiences go beyond superficial conversations and create an openness to re-evaluate viewpoints and personal assumptions. Built into the process are ways to be “change agents” and continue building understanding and friendships with not only those met at a Race to the Table SC event, but with others of diverse racial and cultural identities.

Serve & Connect was founded in honor of Forest Acres Police Department Officer Gregory Alia, who was killed in the line of duty on September 30, 2015. Remembered as an officer who served his community with compassion and respect, our organization is committed to those ideals, supporting the work of law enforcement officers who—in addition to their police responsibilities—identify need and seek to address it. It is our shared belief that in partnership with the neighborhoods they serve, law enforcement officers can help address the immediate conditions that give rise to issues of community safety.
JustLeadershipUSA is dedicated to cutting the US correctional population in #halfby2030. JLUSA empowers people most affected by incarceration to drive policy reform.Mass incarceration is the most significant domestic threat to the fabric of our democracy. The reason for such high incarceration rates is not serious crimes but misguided policies such as mandatory minimums, three-strikes laws and reductions in the availability of parole and other early release mechanisms. Through targeted advocacy, strengthening leadership and membership support, JustLeadershipUSA believes a decarcerated America is possible.
