NCFDD Teaching Toolkit Program

NEW to McCausland College of Arts and Sciences’ Faculty this year is the NCFDD Teaching Toolkit.

The NCFDD’s first-ever teaching program offers a unique approach to crafting a course syllabus, refreshing teaching toolkits, and preparing and organizing for the start of a new academic term so that faculty can teach effectively while saving valuable time and energy in the process.

NCFDD Faculty Success Program

The NCFDD Faculty Success Program Fellowship is a 12-week online boot camp designed to help faculty improve research productivity through intense accountability, coaching, and peer support and to propel work-life balance and personal growth to a whole new level.

NCFDD Post-Tenure Pathfinders Program

The NCFDD Post-Tenure Pathfinders program is designed to provide a space for tenured faculty to pause, engage in a discovery process about what’s possible in their next chapter, and build the support network necessary to move powerfully in that new direction.

Application Process

Pending the availability of funds, the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences will offer a select number of awards for the NCFDD Teaching Toolkit Program, the NCFDD Faculty Success Program (FSP) and the NCFDD Post-tenure Pathfinders Program for the following academic year. Participants who complete five or more Professional Track Faculty program or the Tenure Track Faculty program sessions or fifteen or more Rise and Write sessions throughout the year will be eligible to apply. Priority will be given to new and early career (i.e., pre-promotion) professional and tenure track faculty for the FSP and Teaching Toolkit. Mid-career faculty who have completed the FSP may apply for the  Post-tenure Pathfinders Program.

Those who have completed both the NCFDD FSP and Pathfinders programs are eligible to apply for a “service sabbatical” (i.e., one academic year with no service commitments), which includes a $5000 research/travel fund. Eligibility of the service sabbatical also requires the completion of five or more FDP sessions or fifteen or more writing sessions during the current academic year, and the application must be submitted by Monday, May 3, 2027.
