Research Focus

Dr. Schindler’s research focuses on fundamental symmetries at the intersection of particle and
nuclear physics. One of the most important goals of nuclear physics is a better understanding of
how quarks and gluons form nucleons. Miniscule symmetry breakings can provide unique probes
of our understanding of how quarks behave inside a nucleon. Dr. Schindler uses modern
theoretical tools such as effective field theories to guide, analyze, and interpret ongoing
experimental efforts aimed at mapping out these fundamental symmetry violations.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
