The award “recognizes a faculty or staff academic advisor who has positively contributed to the success of their students, department/college, and the institution. Award winners will have demonstrated a commitment to advising excellence through their advising practice and participation in professional development.”

Personal

When she's not advising students at the University of South Carolina, Stryffeler enjoys spending time with her two dogs and her husband. She also enjoys traveling — having studied abroad in Finland and South Africa. Her favorite destinations in the U.S. are Boston and Disneyworld. When she's not on an adventure, Stryffeler loves to cook and bake new recipes.
