Dora Stryffeler advises students in all College of Information and Communications majors.
Stryffeler began working in higher education in 2014 within leader development at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Previously, she has worked primarily with first-year students at Clemson University and as an undergraduate academic advisor at USC.
Stryffeler recently received an award for Commitment to Advising Excellence from the University Advising Center. The award “recognizes a faculty or staff academic advisor who has positively contributed to the success of their students, department/college, and the institution. Award winners will have demonstrated a commitment to advising excellence through their advising practice and participation in professional development.”
When she's not advising students at the University of South Carolina, Stryffeler enjoys spending time with her two dogs and her husband. She also enjoys traveling — having studied abroad in Finland and South Africa. Her favorite destinations in the U.S. are Boston and Disneyworld. When she's not on an adventure, Stryffeler loves to cook and bake new recipes.
