Some degree programs in the College of Education prepare students to seek professional certification or licensure in teaching, school educational administration, and counseling. Certification/licensure requirements vary from one profession to another and from state to state. If you are interested in obtaining professional certification/licensure, please refer to the appropriate links on the USC certification/licensure website to review state licensing information. Students completing an initial teacher certification program must complete their clinical experience (student teaching) in a South Carolina public school.
